WHO IS A WOMAN?

A woman is a being whose wing
Is so broad, gathering and mothering
Like the perennial river.

A woman is a being overstepped for too long
Yet she manages albeit in a muffled voice
To show love to the world.

A woman is the invisible pillar
Who has stood over the centuries
Giving life to the world.

A woman is the scapegoat, carrying the blame
When the rains delay, when the dust rise, when a child is slow,
She will apologize on God’s behalf.

A woman is the healing hand, soft and gentle,
Caressing away our pain….
For pain is the absence of love.

A woman is the intellect that fixes it all;
The altar, the rosary beads, the disabled child, the secret gardens, a man’s face.
She is the beauty only noticeable in her absence.

A woman is God’s choice to new life,
The world’s miracle worker, taken for granted.
It will take a woman to fight and end abortion.

A woman is the old Eve, mocked for meddling,
Rejected and dejected as the Second Sex,
Yet still she rises!
Oh! She rises and ascends by the day.

Dear Woman, take this secret home,
Your beauty lies in your uniqueness.
Therefore, grapple, fight! And overcome the muse and the ruse,
That tells you to strive to be someone you are not!
The core purpose is in finding your true self and discovering your real worth.

So, go home and love yourself
Love yourself enough to love God.
